Luzinski, Anton "Tony" Walter (June 12, 1923 - January 8, 2005)
Anton W. Luzinski, age 81, of Lublin passed away Saturday, January 8, 2005, at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp, WI.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel with the Very Rev. Woodrow Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, rural Withee. Pallbearers will be: Craig Luzinski, Scott Luzinski, Dan Luzinski, Mike Luzinski, David Kodl, Shawn Kodl, Bryce Venzke, and Brett Venzke.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, from 4-8 p.m. at the Thorp Funeral Home and on Thursday one hour prior to services, also at the funeral home.
Anton Walter "Tony" Luzinski was born on June 12, 1923 in the Town of Roosevelt, rural Lublin, to Frank and Theresa (Grajek) Luzinski and received his education at area schools. He was united in marriage to Marcella "June" Anderson on November 22, 1950. Together, they farmed in the Town of Roosevelt for many years and raised their family. After June passed away on December 4, 1991, Tony continued to farm until entering Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp in 2002. He loved to fish, hunt, and truly enjoyed everything that the outdoors had to offer. His most recent hobby was collecting recipes from various newspapers and magazines for his family.
He was a member of the Roosevelt Rod & Gun Club for many, many years.
He is survived by his five children: Larry (Toni) Luzinski of Thorp; Jane (Frank) Kodl of Lublin; Raymond (Diane) Luzinski of Thorp; Jim Luzinski of Lublin; and Rhonda (Larry) Venzke of Athens; 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three sisters: Lottie Szemraj, Frances Wojciechowski, and Sophie (Walter) Lew, all of Thorp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife June, two brothers: Alex and John and 2 sisters: Mary Sado and Victoria Walteraitis.
Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
