Gustafson, Frank P. (1 NOV 1861 - 19 MAY 1935)
Frank P. Gustafson, 73, a resident of this vicinity for the past 26 years died at his home three miles east of the city, early Sunday morning, following an illness of several days of bronchial pneumonia.
Mr. Gustafson was born Nov. 1, 1861, at Krokshult, Sweden, where he resided with his parents until 1889, when he sailed for America. In 1894 he was united in marriage to Miss Clara Mangeson, and they took up their residence at Cable, Ill., where he then had employment in the coal mines. In 1909 he and his wife moved to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and settled on their farm east of the city, where he has since resided.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife; three sons, Reuben, Hilmer, and Elmer; and one daughter, Frances; and three grandchildren, all of whom were home at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by two infant sons.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the First Congregational Church, Rev. W.P. Powell officiating, and burial took place in Riverside Cemetery.
