At a quiet wedding performed at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1935, at the Lutheran Parsonage at Sheldon, Miss Joy Nelson of the town of McKinley became the bride of Raymond Carpenter of Jump River. The Rev. Clarence Golisch read the marriage service.
Mrs. Carpenter, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed S. Nelson of the town of McKinley, wore a powder blue flat crepe dress with white accessories. Her sister, Cleo, who was her attendant, was attired in wine colored silk canton crepe. Mr. Carpenter, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carpenter of Jump River, was attended by Alvin Wolf.
The reception and dinner at the bride’s home was attended by 35 near relatives, and included Mrs. Joe Decker and daughter, Beatrice of Chippewa Falls, and r. and Mrs. A. G. Huls and Mrs. Frenett of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
