Christensen, Margrete (5 OCT 1935)
The marriage of Miss Margret Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Christensen, and John Potocnik, took place last Saturday afternoon, Rev. Mikkelsen performed the ceremony at the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride wore a gown of white satin with a tulle veil of fingertip length. Her bridal bouquet was of tea roses and baby’s breath. She approached the alter on the arm of her father.
Miss Mary Potocnik, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, wore a blue chiffon velvet gown and velvet hat. Her costume was accented by silver colored collar, slippers and gloves. Mums and gladioli comprise her bouquet.
Victor Nielsen attended the groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Potocnik welcomed relatives and friends as they appeared at the home of the bride’s parents and received their felicitations. Dinner was served to 30 guests. Bouquets of garden flowers lent their beauty and scent to the home.
The couple will be at home to friends immediately at the farm home of the bride’s parents near Owen, where the groom will operate the Christensen farm. The bride is engaged as teacher of the Spring Valley School, and will complete her term in this capacity.
