Marvin Steevens

DORCHESTER -- Marvin Steevens, 77, of the town of Mayville, Dorchester, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford, Wis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, Wis. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery North.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born March 23, 1929, in the town of Deer Creek, rural Stetsonville, to Henry and Emma (Carstensen) Steevens. He married Joyce Tischendorf on Oct. 13, 1951, at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, Wis. She predeceased him on Nov. 6, 2006.

Marvin and his wife farmed in the town of Mayville until 1985. He also delivered Clark County Meals on Wheels for more than 10 years.

Survivors include his children, Mark (Patricia) Steevens, Marshfield, Debbie (Rodney) Romens and Kevin (Lisa) Steevens, all of Dorchester; seven grandchildren; and his sister, Lucille Pitzke, Medford.
