Peterson, Blanche (18 SEP 1938)

Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Stephenson, Blackwell, Okla., announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Blanche Peterson, Wausau, to Ray Walters, Medford, son of Mrs. Margaret Walters, Wausau.

The ceremony was performed at high noon on Sept. 18, 1938 before a flower banked fireplace in the Stephenson residence. The couple flew to Blackwell for the ceremony, in an airplane piloted by the bride’s brother, David Peterson, Wichita, Kan.

Dr. A. Edwards, pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Enid, Okla., read the nuptial service in the presence of immediate relatives.

The bride wore a teal blue crepe afternoon ensemble with matching velvet bodice and grapevine accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias.

Following the service a wedding dinner was served to the immediate family. Mr. Walters and his bride are now at home to friends at Medford, where he is field manager for the Medford Clinic.

The bride has been employed at the Winkelman store at Wausau. She formerly taught school at Blackwell, Okla., St. Paul, Cable, and Wausau. The Walters family formerly resided in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
