Drake, Irene L. (31 DEC 1938)

A high noon ceremony performed Saturday at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) united in marriage Miss Irene Lillian Drake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Drake, Greenwood, and Archie E. Daggett, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Daggett, Omro.

The Rev. C.R. Gaylord, pastor, officiated at the nuptial service.

Miss Evelyn Drake, sister of the bride, and David Miller, cousin of the bride, were the couple’s only attendants.

For the ceremony the bride was attired in a crepe dress of dubonnet, with brown and old colored accessories. Her bouquet combined red roses and sweet peas.

The bridesmaid’s dress was of navy blue crepe and she wore matching accessories. Her bouquet was similar to the bride’s.

Dinner was served to immediate relatives after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents. Among those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. George Daggett, David Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Borchardt, Irving Daggett, and Mrs. Edna Miller, all of Omro; and Mrs. Elmer Albright, Berlin.

After Jan. 10 Mr. Daggett and his bride will be at home to friends at Omro, where the bridegroom is employed with a wholesale produce company.

The bride, a graduate of Greenwood High School and the Luther Hospital School of Nursing at Eau Claire, has been a general duty nurse at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

The bridegroom was graduated from the Omro High School and the University of Wisconsin.
