Wearing a gown of white satin, designed with a long train, and carrying a bouquet of white pompons, Miss Dorothy Modersohn, daughter of Mrs. V. Modersohn, Town of Hendren (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Lewis Ritter, Stanley, son of Mrs. Ella Ritter, at a ceremony performed Thursday afternoon, Oct 12, 1939, at Immanuel’s Lutheran Church, Globe (Clark Co.). The Rev. Adolph Shumann read the service at 2 o’clock.
Miss Helen Modersohn, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor, attired in rose taffeta, and Miss Doris Wegner, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore blue taffeta.
Erville Modersohn, brother of the bride, attended Mr. Ritter as best man, and Clarence Wegner, cousin of the bride, was groomsman.
Pink and white streamers decorated the home of the bride’s mother for the reception which followed the ceremony. Thirty relatives and friends attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Ritter are making their home in Stanley.
