Zakrzewicz, Randall R. (6 OCT 1956 - 25 OCT 2006)

Randall R. Zakrzewicz, 50, Loyal, died in the emergency room at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at the United Methodist Church, Loyal. The Rev. Wendell Williams officiated. Burial was on Monday, Oct. 30, in the Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were his nephews, Justin "Bubba" Delo, Jerry Rosier, Jason Rosier, Brent Rosier, William Shanks Jr., Edward Shanks, Randy Shanks, Phillip Schmidt, and Kip Schmidt.

Randall Robert Zakrzewicz was born on Oct. 6, 1956 in Stanley, to Robert and Elsie "Marie" (nee Johnson) Zakrzewicz. He attended school in Loyal. He was united in marriage to Cathryn "Kitty" Degenhardt on July 7, 1978, in Neillsville, Wis. The couple Lived in Loyal for a short time and then moved to Texas, where he worked as a heavy hauling truck driver. In 1986, they returned to Loyal and he continued to work as a truck driver. He then worked for Bauer Rebuilding, Loyal, for 16 years. In the last couple of years, he returned to truck driving and worked for Kafka Granite. He was formerly a volunteer fireman for the Loyal Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and processing his own game. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was simply a teddy bear and everyone who knew him, loved him. His laugh will always be remembered, as well as his generosity and his love of life.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 28 years, Cathryn "Kitty" Zakrzewicz, Loyal; his children, Heidi (Darrick) Jordan, Loyal, Holly (fiancé Travis Kind) Zakrzewicz, Loyal, and Heath Zakrzewicz, Loyal; one grandson, Ethan Jordan, Loyal; his father, Roland Truchinski, Stratford; his siblings, Lynn (Gerald) Bryson, Lewisville, Texas, Debora (Mike) Behringer, Stratford, Kim (Randy) Griffith, Edgar, and Tammy (Scott) Zoellner, Phoenix, Ariz.

Preceding him in death were his paternal and maternal grandparents; his paternal father and mother; and one niece at birth.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements,
