I was interested in the obit for Wesley Vanderhoof as he is of the same Morris county Vanderhoof family as my own.
My ancestor was a Martin Vanderhoof who left the Boonton area about 1809 for Ontario County NY. Martins descendants settled in Branch and Kent Counties Michigan around 1843.
My Grandfather, Andrew vanderhoof moved to Milwaukee in 1907 and I have relatives still in Milwaukee and Juneau Conty.
One of my cousins worked in a gas station near mauston and served a family called Vanderhoof who were travelling to Clark County. They were not aware of the link between the two families!!!
It would be great to hea from you, I've a lot of info about the Vanderhoofs.
