Meng, Frances (14 MAR 1942)
Miss Frances Meng, a student at the Eau Claire Teachers College, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Meng, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Paul A. Smith, Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Smith, Colfax, were married Saturday afternoon, March 14, 1942, at 4:30 o’clock in the parsonage of the Wesley Methodist Church, Milwaukee. The Rev. Charles Briggs officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Smith, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, were the only attendants.
For the ceremony the bride wore a powder blue dress and hat, beige accessories, and a corsage of sweet peas. Mrs. Smith was attired in a rose dress, matching hat and black accessories. Her corsage was also of sweet peas.
Mrs. Smith was graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1939 and at present is attending Eau Claire State Teacher College. Mr. Smith, a graduate of the Colfax High School, also attended Eau Claire State Teachers College, and at the present time is employed in Milwaukee.
