Miss Jean Kleckner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Kleckner of this city and Verne Jewett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jewett, Chippewa Falls, were united in marriage at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, December 27, at the M. E. parsonage, Rev. Obed Asp performing the ceremony.
The couple was attended by Miss Edythe Housley, a close friend throughout the years and Leonard Rupprecht. The bride wore a blue street dress, Miss Housley’s dress, street style, being plum colored. Both young women wore shoulder corsages.
Mrs. Jewett is a graduate of Neillsville High School and also completed a course in the school of cosmetic arts, Eau Claire. She is employed in the ticket office at the Adler Theater. Mr. Jewett was graduated from the Chippewa Falls high school and Stout Institute at Menomonie where he fitted himself to teach Industrial Arts. He is a member of the Neillsville high School staff of instructors.
The groom and his charming young bride left on a brief wedding trip and upon their return to this city will make their home in an apartment on Division Street.
