Wendt, Alice R. (3 JUN 1942)
At a 2 o’clock ceremony performed on Wednesday, June 3, 1942, in the parsonage of the Reformed Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Alice Ruth Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wendt of Owen, became the bride of Daniel Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Olson, of Greenwood. The Rev. B.B. Fresenborg officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wendt, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Mayvin Poppe and Arthur Hendrickson, attended the couple.
The bride was attired in a street-length dress of powder blue romaine crepe, Mrs. Wendt in beige romaine crepe, and Miss Poppe in a pink French crepe dress. All wore matching accessories and had corsages of roses and sweet peas.
At the home of the bride’s parents, decorated with pastel colored streamers for the occasion, supper was served, and a reception for 60 guests followed.
Mr. and Mrs. Olson, who attended the Greenwood High School, will reside with the groom’s parents on their farm, where Mr. Olson is employed.
