Christie, Bethel I. (11 JUN 1942)
At a ceremony which took place Thursday afternoon, June 11, 1942, at 2 o’clock at the bride’s home, Miss Bethel Irene Christie of the Town of Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.) was married to Arnold M. Flikke, Town of Warner. The marriage service was read by the Rev. A.E. Norson in the presence of immediate relatives.
Miss Bernice Flikke, a sister of the bridegroom, acted as maid of honor, and Vernard Christie, brother of the bride, was best man.
Eleven guests were present at the supper served at 5 o’clock, after which Mr. and Mrs. Flikke left on a wedding trip to the northern part of the state. They will make their home in St. Paul, Minn.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Christie, Greenwood, was graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of ’38 and attended the State Teachers College at Stevens Point for two years. She taught school for the past two years.
The groom, a Greenwood High School graduate with the class of ’36, was graduated from the University of Minnesota last year. He is an agricultural engineer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Flikke, Greenwood.
