Syth, Alberta (24 DEC 1942)
At a double ring ceremony in the First Methodist Church at Sioux Falls, S.D., at 7:30 o’clock Christmas Eve, Miss Alberta Syth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Syth of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Staff Sgt. Bernard A. Cunningham, son of Mrs. Myrtle Cunningham of Viroqua. Dr. Irving Putnam read the service.
Preceding the Lohengrin wedding march played by Miss Dorothy Ann Wheeler, Richard Finch sang "O Promise Me," and "I Love You Truly."
For the occasion the bride was attired in an aqua afternoon dress and matching hat and wore a shoulder corsage of white orchids.
They were attended by Miss Rosemary Janeck, Gillingham, cousin of the groom, and Sgt. Jack Embree, Woodland Park, Col.
After a brief honeymoon in Sioux Falls, the bride will return to Owen (Clark Co.) where she will resume her position as first grade teacher. Sgt Cunningham will remain in Sioux Falls where he is a member of the administrative staff of the Army Air Forces Technical School.
