Danielson, Arlene M. (23 FEB 1943)
Wearing a light blue suit and a matching off-the-face hat, and a corsage of pink carnations, Miss Arlene M. Danielson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peder Danielson, Marengo, Ill., who until two years ago were Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) residents, became the bride of John R. Mattingly, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Mattingly, Union, Ill. The Rev. Mr. Kaufman read the nuptial service at 6 p.m., Feb. 23, 1943, in the parsonage of the Lutheran Church at Woodstock, Ill.
Miss Rita Aubry, Marengo, in a light blue dress, accented with a red carnation corsage, was the bride’s attendant. Robert Sarbaugh, Union, was best man.
A supper for the wedding party followed at the White Café where a large wedding cake, decorated with a miniature bridal couple, centered the table. Later Mr. and Mrs. Mattingly left on a short honeymoon spent with relatives at Greenwood, and are now at home to friends at 514 S. State St., Marengo, Ill. Both the bride and groom who were graduated from the Marengo High School with the class of 1942, are employed in war work by the Oster Co., Genoa, Ill.
