Mr. and Mrs. William Grottke and family of Fremont were among those who helped Fred Grottke celebrate his birthday anniversary at his home Thursday evening.

Miss Merilla Holenbach was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Saturday, where she underwent an operation for appendicitis.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Seehafer of Marshfield visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Knoop Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bender and family visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Beilke Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sternitzky entertained at a card party at their home Saturday night. The following friends were present, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Krause, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Grassman, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Reidel, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Short, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Marg, Chili.

About 50 relatives and friends helped Mr. and Mrs. George Smith celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary at their home Thursday evening. The evening was spent. ****rest cut off. ***
