Miss Wanda Malaszuk spent last Tuesday with Miss Rosie Briske.
Vincent Lato, a recruit at the United States naval training station at Great Lakes, Ill., came home for a few days vacation, returning to Great lakes Tuesday for a new training period of two years.
Vincent, Annie and Stanley Lato, Rosie and Frank Briske and Miss Mary Gruber were visiting for a short while at the Joe Malaszuk home Thursday.
Vincent Lato visited with his cousins and sisters at Gilman and close friends around here. He spent Saturday evening with Frank and Stanley Malaszuk, Frank Briske and John Lato at the Joe Malaszuk home.
Charles Baldeschwiler and daughter, Ione, Wanda, Frank and Stanley Malaszuk and Frank Briske spent Sunday afternoon at Perkinstown, tobogganing, skiing and other winter sports took up the time. Many people from near and far are taking advantage of Perkinstown’s wonderful winter sports area.
Edward Karpinski is spending a few days at the parental home.
Frank Briske and Frank Malaszuk achieved second prize at the Willard East Side masquerade dance Sunday evening.
Frank Klemzcuk, who is employed at the Victor Zielinski place, was surprised Sunday night with a birthday party. The following people were present at the party: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Deniszkewicz, Mrs. Agnes Karpinski, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Karpinski, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malaszuk, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kato, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Gulcyinski, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meske, John Pajak, Bruno Kobylinski, John Lato, Louis Sczeczch, and Stanley Malaszuk. The evening was spent dancing, and at midnight a very delicious lunch was served.
Walter Sczeczch, George and Joe Badginski and Stanley Malaszuk were ice fishing Wednesday on the Mississippi River, near Alma, returning with fish 33 ½ inches in length and a very ice catch of them.
