Bredesen, Agnette (4 DEC 1856 - 4 OCT 1941)
Rites for Mrs. Tom (Thorwald) Bredesen, who died in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.) on Oct. 4, 1941, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2 o’clock at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood. The Rev. A.E. Norson officiated, and burial took place in the Longwood Cemetery.
Agnette, Arneson, daughter of Arne Arneson and Oljana Avenson, was born in Volor Solar, Norway, Dec. 4, 1856. She spent her girlhood in the same community.
Her husband, Thorwald Bredesen, came to this country in 1887, and Mrs. Bredesen and two children following him in 1894, making their home in the Town of Longwood. In 1902 the family moved to the present Bredesen farm. Mrs. Bredesen was a member of the Longwood church and the Ladies Aid.
Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Olivia Bowen, Withee; Mrs. Carl (Tillie) Shirley, Farmington, Minn.; Mrs. Herman (Borghild) Thiel, Thorp; and Mrs. John (Hilda) Awe, Withee; one son, Julius, at home; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
