Dauffenbach, Caroline (28 DEC 1869 - 3 APR 1941)

Services for Miss Caroline Dauffenbach, who died April 3, 1941, at the home of her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Enockson, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Augusta. The Rev. Mr. Aggman had charge, and burial was made in the family lot at Augusta.

Miss Dauffenbach, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Dauffenbach, was born in Reeseville on Dec. 28, 1869. She moved with her parents to Augusta when she was 22 years old, and operated a millinery store there with her sister for nearly thirty years.

In 1921 she went to Fairchild, where she was employed as a pastry cook in the Gladstone Hotel, operated by her brother-in-law and sister. For the past few years she made her home with the Enocksons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and a brother, and is survived by three brothers, Carl of Eau Claire, Albert of Fairchild, and Fred of Des Moines, Iowa, and a number of nieces and nephews.
