Dyre, Owen (15 SEP 1907 - 9 SEP 1941)

Word was received here by telegram of the accidental death of Owen Dyre, 34, son of Mrs. A.B. Dyre, near Redding Calif., Tuesday. Mr. Dyre had been employed in that vicinity for several years.

The body is expected here about 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon and will lie in state at the Schiller Funeral Home until Monday afternoon, Sept. 15, when a short service will be conducted at 1:30. After the service at the funeral home the body will be moved to the Trondhjem Lutheran Church, where the Rev. M.C. Aaberg will conduct rites at 2 o’clock. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Dyre was born and educated in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) and had worked in the West for several years. No details of the accident have been received here.

He is survived by his mother and the following sisters and brothers; Mrs. Peter Zounis, Sauk Center, Minn.; Mrs. Allie Drake and Mrs. Hug Stutte, Loyal; Miss Alma Dyre, Minneapolis; Edgar and Joel Dyre, Racine; Emil Dyre, Grand Forks, N.D.; and Oscar and Kenneth, Greenwood.

His father, the Rev. A.B. Dyre, preceded him in death in 1932, a brother, Henry, died in 1937, and a sister, Mrs. Malinda Conway, died in Minneapolis in 1938.
