Sorenson, Karoline (22 DEC 1855 - 2 NOV 1941)
Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday at the Longwood Lutheran Church for Mrs. Nels Sorenson, 85, who died Nov. 2, 1941 at her home at Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. A.E. Norson, Greenwood, officiated at the rites, and interment took place in Longwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Sorenson, the former Karoline Ingvaldsen, was born in Haave, Norway, Dec. 22, 1855, and was married there Nov. 10, 1878, to Nels Sorenson. The Sorensons came to this country June 5, 1884, and after spending 14 years in Withee they moved to a farm in the Town of Longwood, where they spent 24 years. Since that time they made their home in the village of Longwood.
Besides her husband she is survived by three of the 11 children, Mrs. Inga Kuester, who cared for her mother during her illness; William G. Sorenson, Goodman; Mrs. Maurice Furru, Minneapolis; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
