Thwing, Wilmette (4 JUL 1865 - 5 APR 1942)
Willmette Thwing, 76, former long time resident here (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.), died Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at Adams, Wis.
Born in Monticello on July 4, 1865, Willmette Delbert Thwing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Thwing, was married to Miss Clara Josephine Scobel in Greenwood on March 22, 1865. After their marriage they lived for many years on a farm near here.
Surviving are the following children: David, Ralph, Myron, Henry Thwing, all of Greenwood; Rufus Thwing, Britton, S.D.; Mrs. Otis (Ruth) Stowe, Withee; Mrs. Albert (Bernice) Ehlert, Edgewood.
Twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two half-brothers, also survive.
His wife, a daughter, and a son preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Grace Methodist Church here with the Rev. Alex J. Abbot, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
