Hatton, Evelyn (Marriage - 9 March 1940)
Miss Evelyn Hatton and Craig Asplin, both of Greenwood, were united in marriage Saturday, March 9, at ten a.m., Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating in a double ring ceremony, which took place at the Sunset Point.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hatton, Greenwood, was dressed in navy blue crepe and wore a lovely corsage of pink and white carnations. She was attended by Miss Bethel Asplin, sister of the groom, who was dressed in Alice blue crepe. Her corsage combines yellow daffodils and paper white narcissi.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Asplin, Greenwood. He was attended by the bride’s brother, Donald Hatton.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, twenty-five close relatives being in attendance.
The couple will make their home at Owen, where the groom is employed with the Western Condensing plant.
