Agin, Lizzie (21 June 1858 - 11 March 1940)
Mrs. Lizzie Agin passed away at the Vinton Nursing home Monday afternoon, March 11, at 12:45, after a long illness.
Mrs. Agin was born at Lincolnshire, England, June 21, 1858, to Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox Wells. When she was eleven years of age she came to America with her parents, who settled in Sheboygan County. In 1874 she was married to Henry S. Agin in her home community. In 1908 they came to Clark County, living on a farm in the town of York. Mr. Agin passed away in May, 1929. They had one daughter, Mrs. Fred Tyler, with whom Mrs. Agin had made her home since 1931. Two months ago, she came to the Vinton Home to be cared for.
She was a member of the Baptist church, and as long as her health permitted, she worked faithfully in the interests of that organization.
She is the last of a family of five children, one sister and three brothers having preceded her in death. Surviving, beside her daughter are five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tyler today (Thursday) at 1:30 and at the M. E. Church, Granton, at 2:00, Rev. Obed Asp of the Neillsville M. E. church officiating. Burial will take place in the Windfall cemetery.
