Marsh, Ludwig H. (5 Dec. 1858 - 12 March 1940)
A message to Neillsville relatives last week announced the passing of L. H. Marsh of Kirkland, Wash., on March 12.
Mr. Marsh was born December 5, 1858, and became associated in the dry goods business with his brother, W. J. Marsh. The firm was known as Marsh Brothers.
In 1890 Mr. Marsh was married to Miss Mattie Schuster. In 1904 Mr. and Mrs. Marsh and their two sons, Louis and Phillip, moved to Kirkland, Wash. After a few years in that city, Mr. Marsh entered the employ of the Boeing airplane company at Seattle, for whom he worked as superintendent of the wood-working department for 12 years. Both sons hold lucrative positions with the Boeing Company. Mr. Marsh retired six years ago. Mrs. Marsh passed away October 30, 1916. Later Mr. Marsh was again married.
He is survived by his wife and sons, and three brothers: John F., Black River Falls; Judge A. J. Marsh, Eau Claire; and William J. Marsh, Neillsville, Wis.
Of Mr. Marsh is may well be said that his life was rounded out and complete. He was a man of keen intellect, deeply respected by keen intellect, deeply respected by his friends and business associates, and between the four Marsh brothers there has existed throughout the years an unusually beautiful bond of love.
