Finder, Ann (25 Jan. 1909 - 3 April 1940)

Mrs. Fred Finder, 31, passed away at the Granton Clinic Wednesday, April 3, after a few days illness. Having been an invalid for many years, Mrs. Finder was unable to overcome a bad cold, which developed into pneumonia.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Finder home in the town of Hewett, burial taking place in the Columbia Cemetery. Rev. Samuel Hardt of Oshkosh conducted the services. Mrs. Benjamin Fink, sister of the Rev. Hardt, sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," Rachel Eide singing "The Way of the Cross," "Faith to Faith," and "Just a Little While." Jesse and Robert Collins, James and Roy Parker and Milton and Wesley Washburn were the pallbearers, all of them being schoolmates of the departed.

Mrs. Finder, nee Ann Dormady, was born January 25, 1909, to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Dormady in the town of Hewett and had always made her home in that township. She completed the rural school course and made a strong effect to attend high school, but her frail condition forced her to give up soon after she entered.

On October 29, 1930, she was united in marriage to Fred Finder. They lived for a year with her parents and then moved to their new home near Wedges Creek, where they had since resided. Mrs. Finder was the mother of one son, Robert Fred, who was born October 19, 1934.

Mrs. Finder never became discouraged, always maintaining hope, and a deeper faith, that her health would be restored. She was a member of the Clark County Press Staff of correspondents, writing her neighborhood news under the heading "Here and There." Frequent comment upon the news of other correspondents displayed an interest which reached far beyond her own community.

Mrs. Finder is survived by her husband and son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Dormady, and the following brothers and sisters, Gladys, Mrs. Herman Tacker, Brawley, California; Verna, Mrs. Alfred Schmolke, Hewett; Margaret, Mrs. Charles Oldham, Seif; Miss Frances Dormady at home; Frank, Great Falls, Mont.; Lyle, Casper, Wyo.; and Daniel, Jr., at home. A sister and a brother, Violet and Tracey, preceded her in death.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Lyle Dormady, Casper, Wyo.; and Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Fink and daughter of Oshkosh.
