Kindt, Melta (14 FEB 1913 - 5 OCT 1939)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services for Miss Melta Kindt, 26, who died Thursday morning, Oct. 5, 1939, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient for the past five weeks following a several years’ illness, were conducted Saturday afternoon.

The Rev. Adolph Schumann conducted the 1 o’clock service at the Kindt home, and the 2 o’clock service at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe. Interment was made in the Globe Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marvin Grap, Earl Schoenherr, Frank Hoffman, Harold Mitte, Ervin Grap, and Wilfred Wood.

Melta Laurina Kindt, daughter of August and Albertina Schendel Kindt, was born in the Town of Wellington, Monroe Co., Feb. 14, 1913. When she was eight years old she came to Clark County with her parents, residing on a farm 6 miles south of Greenwood, where she had lived up to the time of her death.

Miss Kindt was to have been married in the near future to Alfred Stenulson.

Surviving are her parents, five sisters, Mrs. Vern (Wanda) Von Haden, Wilton; Mrs. William (Hulda) Hubert, Tomah; Mrs. Frank (Hertha) Marg, Greenwood; Mrs. Archie (Olga) Timmerson, Neillsville; and Miss Lillian Kindt, at home; and four brothers, Walter Kindt, Neillsville, and Albert, Edwin and Allen Kindt, all at home.

Those from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Von Haden, Mr. and Mrs. William Hubert, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Heinze, Mrs. Delia Heinze, Mr. and Mrs. William Kindt, Mrs. P. Welch, Miss Clara Heinze, and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Stenulson.
