Steele, Ann I. (13 NOV 1874 - 22 MAY 1939)
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Mrs. Arthur Steele, 64, died Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock at her home, 5 miles northwest of Greenwood. Death was caused by a heart ailment. She had been in poor health the past year, and for the last few months had been more seriously ill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon in the Thorp Methodist Church, and burial will be made in the Thorp Cemetery.
Ann Isabel Barrett, only daughter of William and Margaret Barrett, was born in Canada Nov. 13, 1874. She was married May 26, 1895 to Arthur Steele of Thorp. Mr. and Mrs. Steele moved on their present farm in the spring of 1933.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Maud) Frinack, Thorp; Mrs. Romaine (Nina) Burnett, Chetek; and Mrs. John (Ruth) Zimmer, Greenwood; and three sons, Paul, Arthur Jr., and Roger, all at home. Two sons, Ernest and Ralph, preceded her in death.
Twelve grandchildren, two brothers, William Barrett, Thorp, and Ernest Barett, Milwaukee; and an adopted brother, Frank Beachwood, St. Paul, also survive.
