Gaudette, Rita I. (1 SEP 1945)
Miss Rita Irene Gaudette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gaudette, Lawrence, Mass., became the bride of Eugene B. Carteron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Olamp Carteron, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), in a wedding ceremony read in St. Anne’s rectory at Lawrence by the Rev. Father Turgeon, Sept. 1, 1945, at 2 p.m.
Attendants were Miss Doris Gaudette and Henry Gaudette, sister and brother of the bride.
The bride was attired in a white marquisette frock and a headdress of orange blossoms held her fingertip veil. She carried an orchid with shower streamers of sweet peas. Her sister wore a pink jersey and net dress and a crown of roses held her matching blusher veil. Her flowers were arranged in a colonial bouquet.
Following the ceremony a luncheon and reception were held at the home of the bride’s parents.
After Oct. 1 the couple will reside in Greenwood where the groom is engaged as a mechanic. He was graduated from the Greenwood High School and has recently been granted a discharge from Army service after 37 months service in the South Pacific Theater of Operations. He is now employed as a mechanic at Wuethrich’s Creamery.
Mrs. Carteron attended Lawrence schools and had been employed by the Pacific Mills of that city. They are honeymooning at Salsbury Beach.
