Jacobitz, Grace E. (3 MAR 1911 - 4 DEC 2006)

Grace E. Jacobitz, 95, a longtime Spencer resident, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at the Colonial Center, Colby. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the United Methodist Church, Spencer, at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Mara Pehkonen officiating. There will be a time to reminisce with family and friends on her life from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Her cremains will be laid to rest beside her husband, Clyde Jacobitz, in West Spencer Cemetery.

Grace E. Ernst was born on March 3, 1911, to Otto and Louise (nee Yankee) Ernst, Spencer. She graduated from Spencer High School. She married Clyde B. Jacobitz on April 13, 1933, ion Lindsey. She was a member of the Spencer United Methodist Church and was active in the Sunday school program for many years.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lorraine Ernst, Waupaca, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clyde Jacobitz, on Nov. 3, 1991; two brothers, Harvey Ernst and Marvin Ernst; for sisters, Emma Pearson, Lottie Harris, Esther Bittner, and Ellen Jones.
