Finch, Ferne A. (7 MAY 1946)
Wearing a brown suit and a corsage of spring flowers, Miss Ferne Alice Finch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon H. Finch of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Stanley James Crawford, Greenwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Crawford, Owen, route 1. The ceremony was read May 7, 1946, at 11 a.m., in the Methodist parsonage at Greenwood by the Rev. Alex J. Abbott, pastor.
Miss Marliss Finch, in a grey suit, was her sister’s maid of honor and Dale Thomas was best man. Other attendants were Mrs. Dale E. Smith and Clifford Trickie. Mrs. Smith wore a blue suit. Both women wore flowers pinned to their shoulders.
Following the ceremony dinner was served to 20 guests at the Finch home decorated with pink and white streamers. Mrs. L.G. Anderson and Miss Lois Schultz were in charge. Later a reception and dance were held.
Herbert Thompson, Cashton, a cousin of the bride, came for the occasion.
The couple are now at home on route 4 near Greenwood. Mr. Crawford is engaged in farming.
