Wachsmuth, Loretta (12 OCT 1946)
Miss Loretta Wachsmuth, daughter of Emil Wachsmuth, Gilman, exchanged wedding vows with Leondo Franz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franz, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Oct. 12, 1946, in the West Side Church at Greenwood. The Rev. J.C. Klingsberger officiated.
Attendants were Miss Marion Wachsmuth, sister of the bride, and Michael Starr, Thorp, Miss Beatrice Schwarze, Owen, a niece of the groom, and Leo Wehrman, Greenwood.
The bride wore a long white formal gown of heavy satin and fingertip veil of illusion caught to a crown of seed pearls. She held red roses and white pompons.
The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore pink and blue taffeta frocks and blusher veils caught to matching wreaths of flowers. The carried carnations and pompons.
After the ceremony dinner was served to 120 guests at the Paul Stumpner home at Greenwood. Pink, blue, and white streamers and flowers decorated the residence. A large wedding cake, baked by Mrs. Alfred Schwarze, centered the table. A reception was held that afternoon and in the evening a wedding dance was given at the Mileaway Ballroom.
Mrs. Franz had been employed at the Potter Co. in North Chicago. Mr. Franz is engaged in farming and the couple are living on his farm on route 4 near Greenwood.
