Marden, Bette Lou (23 MAR 1947)
A double wedding was held at Grace Methodist Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), March 23, 1947, at 2 p.m., when Miss Bette Lou Marden and Miss Billie Jean Pitt, granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. William Marden, Greenwood, were united in marriage at a double ring service, to Glen and John Howard, former Iowa residents. The Rev. Lee Holmes officiated. Miss Margaret Mlada was organist.
Both Miss Marden, who became the bride of Glen Howard, and Miss Pit, the bride of John Howard, wore white satin wedding gowns and fingertip veils of illusion. Their shower bouquets were arrangements of white roses. Kenneth Marden and George Clow presented the young women in marriage.
Mrs. Glen Howard was graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1946 and Mrs. John Howard is a graduate of the Weyauwega High School that same year.
