Hofmann, Arnita I. "Ann" (June 19, 1908 - December 21, 2006)
Arnita I. "Ann" Hofmann, age 98, of Crosby, MN, died December 21, 2006 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center, Crosby.
She was born on June 19, 1908, in Neillsville, to Theodore and Augusta (Ratsch) Ziegler. She married Frederick H. Hofmann on May 5, 1935. Arnita and her husband established and operated the Crosby Dairy Queen in 1954. They owned and operated Hofmann’s Café (Roy’s) in Deerwood from 1944 to 1954. She was a long time volunteer with the Salvation Army Store in Crosby. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Donald and Gerald Sanderson, of Crosby; one brother, Harold Ziegler, of Benson; two grandchildren, Mark (Beverly) Sanderson, of Columbia Heights, and Kerri Sanderson, of Crosby; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; two sisters, Alvina Babbe and Lillian Hofmann; and two brothers Clarence and Alvin Ziegler.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 24, 2006, at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial was at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.
