Miss Elsie A. Steiger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Steiger, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Ary C. Arneson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Corvin Arneson, Spring Valley, in a ceremony performed at the West Side Evangelical and Reformed Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. J.C. Klingeberger, June 24, 1947.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Elmer Steiger, Plum City, sister-in-law of the bride, and the best man was Neal Anderson, Spring Valley.
Other attendants were the bridesmaids, Misses Marian Barnes and Joyce Stoneburg, Greenwood; and the groomsmen, Elmer Steiger, Plum City, brother of the bride, and Paul Howard, Spring Valley.
The brid wore an ivory satin gown styled with a yoke of illusion edged with seed pearl embroidery and a long train. She wore a circular veil held in place by a tiara of seed pearls, and carried a bouquet of gardenias, white roses, and sweet pears.
The matron of honor wore a dress of ice blue jersey and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow roses and blue delphinium. Both bridesmaids wore gowns of yellow marquisette over taffeta and carried similar colonial bouquets.
A wedding dinner was served to the wedding party and immediate relatives at the Merchants Hotel, Neillsville, Wis.
The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and of Miss Wood’s School, Minneapolis, and for the past two years has been a kindergarten teacher in Spring Valley. The groom is a graduate of Spring Valley High School and has attended the University of Wisconsin. He is a veteran.
Mr. and Mrs. Arneson will live in Spring Valley.
