Hobbs, Ernest (8 July 1868 - 11 June 1940)
Ernest Hobbs passed away at Oshkosh Tuesday, June 11, after a long illness with heart trouble. The body was brought to the Schiller Funeral Home, Neillsville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. today. Interment will take place beside his wife and son, Charles, in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mr. Hobbs was born in Sac City, Iowa, July 8, 1868. He studied pharmacy and practiced his profession for a time. He was married to Miss Irene Van Norman, of Whitcomb, Wis., in 1908, and the following year the couple came to Neillsville to conduct a restaurant. They were the parents of two sons, Charles and Gordon. Both boys were born in Neillsville, where the family resided until 1919. The former and the mother have passed away.
Mr. Hobbs is survived by the son, Gordon, and one sister, of Harland, Iowa.
