Miss Elpha Schuette Married January 30
Groom was Cpl. Tech Carl Zarnstorff of Genoa City; Rev. M. C. Goetsch Performed the Ceremony.
Miss Elpha Schuette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Schuette of Unity, became the bride of Cpl. Tech, Carl Zarnstorff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zarnstorff Sr. of Genoa City, in a double ring ceremony performed in St. Luke’s Lutheran church of South Green Grove church of South Green Grove, on Jan. 30.
The candlelight service was read at 2 p.m. by the Rev. M. C. Goetsch. Mrs Goetsch played the wedding marches and Mrs. Henry Hardrath and Miss Berta Hardrath sang.
The bride was attired in a white satin gown made with a sweetheart neckline and a long train. Her long veil was hathered to a crown of seed pearls and her only jewelry was a gold locket, a gift of the groom. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and pink roses.
Miss Blanche Schuette, attired in a blue brocaded taffeta frock with blusher veil and headdress to match was maid of honor. Miss Irene Schuette, dressed in a pink brocaded taffeta and matching veil and headdress was bridesmaid. Both wore wrist corsages of mixed flowers.
Robert Zarnstorff, brother of the groom and Reuben Schuette, cousin of the bride, both of Genoa City, attended the groom.
The bride’s mother attended her daughter’s wedding in a lavender frock and the groom’s mother chose a soldier blue two-piece dress for the occasion. Both had shoulder corsages of mixed flowers.
A 6 o’clock supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents to 50 guests. Both the church and the residence were decorated with white, blue and pink streamers. A wedding cake served as a centerpiece for the bride’s table.
Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zarnstorff Sr. of Lake Geneva; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zarnstorfff, Mrs. and Mrs. Harvey Zarnstorff, Mrs. Art Behrens, Mrs. Harry Vorpagel, Robert Zarnstorff, Reuben Schuette and Ellen Schuette of Genoa City; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zarnstorff of Milwaukee; Mrs. Margaret Schuette, Mrs. Fred Reach Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schuette, and Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Schuette and family, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lang and family of Unity; Miss Irene Molle of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schuette, Mrs. Wesley Schwartz of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. William Klozinkski of Loyal; the Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Goetsch of Colby; and Mrs. Henry Hardrath and Miss Bertha Hardrath of Riplinger.
Mrs. Zarnstorff will accompany her husband to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds where he is stationed.
