Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) will be the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Speich, who were married Sept. 25, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. J.J. Novak. The former Audrey Lillian Michels is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin P. Michels, Green Bay. Mr. and Mrs. John Speich, Greenwood, route 4, are the groom’s parents.
A white wool street length dress was worn by the bride. Drapery fell on the sides and a peplum in the back. She had a chatelaine of miniature bronze tea roses.
Mrs. Clarence Hillert from Green Bay was her sister’s matron of honor, in a toast brown crepe dress. Bronze and yellow pompons were in her corsage. Bridesmaids were Mrs. John D. Speich, Greenwood, and Miss Betty Hillert, Sobieski. They were attired in green crepe dresses. Their corsages were the same as the bride’s.
Clarence Hillert, Green Bay, was best man. John D. Speich and Kenneth Speich, were groomsmen. Both live in Greenwood. Ushers were Victor Perman and Robert Vesel, also of Greenwood.
A reception was held at the home of the bride and groom and dinner was served in the church parlors.
Mr. Speich was graduated from Greenwood High School and served two years with the 82nd Airborne Division of the Air Forces. He is now employed as an REA lineman. Mrs. Speich was also graduated from Greenwood High School, and from the School of Infant Nursing at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago. The couple will make their home at Greenwood.
