Ruth V. Weber

OWEN -- Ruth V. Weber, 87, of Owen, formerly of Greenwood, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, Wis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 3, 1919, in Withee to John and Ella (Pokel) Nicholson. She married Carl "Sam" Weber on June 10, 1939, in Owen, Wis. He died Oct. 25, 1972. She worked as a laborer for Graber in Middleton, retiring in 1984. She then worked seasonally at Figi's and at the canning factory in Marshfield.

She is survived by her son, David J. (Judy) Weber, Spencer; stepson, Lawrence E. (Ann) Weber, East Troy; foster son, Albert Susa Jr.; seven grandchildren, one stepgrandson, eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Nicholson, Benson, Ariz., Ralph (Barbara) Nicholson, Lafayette, Ind., Bueford "Nick" (Jean) Nicholson, Eau Claire; and one sister, Caroline Adams, Readstown.
