Syth, Gerald or Jerrold (15 AUG 1896 - 4 JUL 1950)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Military services for Gerald Syth, 53, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grace Methodist Church. He died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday morning (Jul 4, 1950). Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, the Rev. Lee Holmes officiating. The body will lie in state at the Schiller Funeral Home starting this afternoon.

Mr. Syth was born Aug. 15, 1896, in Greenwood. He received his education and was married here to Leona Weber, Oct. 29, 1927. He was a veteran of World War I and belonged to the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post.

Prior to his death, he was sexton at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife and following children: Duwayne, Geraldine, Ronald, Rita, Bernard and Suzann, all at home. A brother, Guy, Montana, and two sisters, Mrs. Dimples Lewis, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Merle Dittner, Gerber, Calif., also survive.
