McKenna, William Jr. (13 JUN 1922 - 3 JUL 1950)
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Military rites for William McKenna Jr., 28, who lives with his parents 3 ½ miles southeast of here, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
McKenna took his own life Monday afternoon (Jul 3 1950) by piping carbon monoxide from an automobile engine into the close car in which he sat. The tragedy occurred on the Christie-Globe road, 8 miles southwest of her.
Burial will be made in the parish cemetery, the Rev. J. Novak officiating. The body may be seen at the parental home beginning today.
A veteran of World War II, he received his education at St. Mary’s Parochial School.
Surviving are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mary, Marshfield, and Agnes, David and Michael at home.
