Bever, Edward Frank (January 24, 1915 - December 28, 2006)

Edward Frank Bever, age 91, of Black River Falls, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.

Edward was born January 24, 1915, in Fairchild to Peter and Theresa (Brandstedter) Bever. He was united in marriage to Vivian Genevieve Matysik May 8, 1936, at Fairview Church in Fairchild.

Edward loved the outdoors and was proud to have worked as a dairy farmer most of his life. He and Vivian lived in several places throughout their lives together, including Michigan, Mondovi, Gilmanton, Hartland, Pewaukee, Brookfield, Colgate, Melrose and Disco.

He is survived by six daughters, Yvonne (Eugene) Jeske of La Valle, Loella Presnell of Milwaukee, Gloria (James) Masonick of Menomonee Falls, Nancy Lee of Black River Falls, Melinda Smith of Merrillan, and Sharlene Olver of Onalaska; two sons, Michael (Charlene) Bever of Merrillan and Daniel (Sherry) Bever of Eau Claire; one sister, Shirley George; four brothers, Lawrence Bever, Francis Bever, Patrick Bever and Joseph Bever; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, July 6, 1999; two sisters, Loretta Linder and Beatrice Bever; and three brothers, Leonard, Roman and Peter Bever.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls. Father Robert Streveler will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John’s Church Cemetery in Fairchild.

Family and friends were invited for visitation Tuesday, January 2, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Buswell Funeral Home (www.buswellfuneralhome.com) in Black River Falls. Family and friends are also invited for visitation on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

The Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
