Green, Charles Ernis (21 Nov. 1879 - 7 June 1940)
Charles E. Green of Friant, California, passed away in his home there during the night of June 7, of a heart attack.
Mr. Green was the son of J. J. Green, formerly of Levis, who was the first rural mail carrier between Nevins and Neillsville, Wis.
Charles Green was one of the leading cattlemen of Fresno County, having been in the business for 35 years. He was well and favorably known throughout the state, and a friend of many of the motion picture stars.
He is survived by his wife and two children, a sister, Mrs. Della Dunnicliff of Friant, and a brother, Allen W. Green of Watts Valley, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 10 at the Lisle Chapel, Fresno. Burial was made in the Toll House Cemetery.
