RURAL SCHOOLS WILL HAVE PROGRAM CONTEST, DEC. 16

The Abbotsford Commercial Club has mailed out the Christmas edition of the Exchange Day sheet, this week. In it you will find valuates advertised which you can’t afford to miss, as well as announcements of coming attractions.

The program for December will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, when the second annual rural school contest of short plays, skits or musical number will be held at the armory. The public is invited to attend this entertainment which is free. Each school participating will be given a cash working fee and in addition the there winning schools will be given cash prizes. Rural school have until Dec. 9 to register with Bill Kozlowski, secretary of the Commercial Club.

The Exchange Day on the first Saturday of the month is an institution in Abbotsford, Wis. Shoppers always find that day for profit to themselves.

The merchants invite you to make your Christmas selections early but for your convenience, store will be open every evening the week before Christmas.

Gifts For Servicemen Are Wrapped and Mailed

Christmas packages were packed at the armory club rooms Saturday afternoon for the men and women in service.

There was splendid cooperation in every respect. A really generous supply of homemade cookies and candies, donated by members of the auxiliary and many non members, helped make the boxes something to be anticipated.
