Delano, Georgia (10 OCT 1851 - 20 FEB 1947)
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Schiller Funeral Home for Mrs. Georgia Delano, 95, who died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1947, at 7 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Marden, Greenwood, where she had made her home the past six years.
The Rev. Lee Holmes, Methodist pastor, was in charge of the rites and burial took place in the Humbird Cemetery. During the services Mrs. George Haeuser and Mrs. Chal Perkins sang several selections. Mrs. John Meng was the accompanist.
Mrs. Delano was born in Salisbury, Mass, Oct. 10, 1851, and lived with her husband, Silas Delano, in Humbird before coming to Greenwood six years ago. Her husband died at the Marden home April 10, 1943.
Surviving is a son, Jessie Colburn, Shawano, who is an invalid and was unable to attend the funeral. Mrs. Colburn, her daughter-in-law, arrived Monday afternoon in Greenwood and made funeral arrangements.
