Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at Willard for Martin Klarich, 70, a prominent farmer at Willard who was active in community affairs and who died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday morning (Jul 11, 1945) at 8 o’clock at his home, 2 ½ miles south of Willard. He had been in poor health for several years.
The Rev. Raphael Stragisher will officiate at the 10 o’clock Requiem High Mass and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Klarich home.
Mr. Klarich, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Klarich, was born Nov. 11, 1874, in Yugoslavia.
He was chairman of the Town of Hendren and a member of the County Board of Supervisors for many years. He also was first president of the Clark County Electric Co-operative which was organized in 1937 with headquarters at Greenwood, and resigned from that office in 1943 because of poor health.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Victor and Joseph of Peoria, Ill., William of Granton, and Arthur at home, and four grandchildren. Another son, Martin, preceded him in death.
