John W. Volk
TULSA, Okla. -- John W. Volk, 85, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Willard, died Jan. 1, 2007.
Services, followed by burial, were held Jan. 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tulsa.
He was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Willard to Frank and Mary Volk. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the federal government as a civil engineer and was sent to Oklahoma to build highways where there were none.
John is survived by his wife, Edith of Tulsa; sister, Emma Volk Machan of Clearwater, Fla.; and his brother, Albert Volk of Neillsville, Wis.
