Edward Pawlowicz
Edward Pawlowicz, 86, Colby, died January 8, 2007 at the Colonial Center in Colby.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, Wis. The Reverend Marcia Thomas will preside. Full military rites will be provided by the Colby VFW Post 2227.
Maurina-Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edward was born on June 8, 1920, near Diamond Lake by Lublin, to Frank and Adele (Skop) Pawlowicz.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from August 1942 to November 1945, serving in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and central Europe.
Edward and Florence Brill were married and later divorced.
He was employed with the Taylor County U.S. Forest Service and retired from Weather Shield of Medford as a window assembler.
Edward was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting agates.
He is survived by one brother, Bruno (Clarice) Pawlowicz, Dorchester and one sister, Alice (Sylvester) Konieczny, Island Lake, IL.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, John and Paul Pawlowicz; and five brothers, Jessie, Chet, Stanley, Casey and Bill Pawlowicz.
