Zeman, Anton (16 July 1911 - 15 Aug. 1940)

Anton Zeman passed away Thursday, August 15, at the Vinton Nursing home, the young man having been ill since last September when he sustained an injury in an accident.

Mr. Zeman was born in Chicago July 16, 1911. About eleven years ago he came to Clark County to assist some friends, then living on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahnert. A few years later he went to the George Mott farm to work for his board and had since made his home there except during brief intervals when he worked on neighboring farms.

Tony, as he was generally known, was an unusually likeable young man. In the Mott home he was one of the family, his gentlemanly traits of character and pleasing manhood establishing for him a warm welcome wherever he went.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters living in California, Chicago and Berwyn, Ill., the parents being deceased.

The body was prepared for interment at the Lowe undertaking parlors and was taken to Merrillan Friday and transported to Berwyn for burial.
